2010 Carolina Chaos Reporting Information

-->Players should plan to report on Friday, May 28, 2010 between 3:00 and 4:30pm (see reporting information below). All players with outstanding fees and/or fundraising will need to satisfy all financial obligations prior to being added to the final roster. Players will not be issued uniforms or allowed to participate if you have any outstanding financial obligations.
-->Remember to bring a pair of white and a pair of gray baseball pants (these will be your game pants). Solid white and solid gray- no piping or pinstripes.
--> Those residing in apartments- your leases will be due, along with "full payment", upon check-in. If you mail your lease, we must receive it by Thursday, May 27th. If you think it may not arrive in time, bring it with you on the 28th. Please note: the property manager will not release your key or allow check-in unless your lease is on hand and paid in full (no exceptions).
-->REPORTING INFORMATION: Players will report on Friday, May 28, 2010. Players should report to Southern Wesleyan University Baseball Complex. Check-in will be held in the President's Suite at the Stadium between 3:00 and 4:30pm ONLY (Directions Below) Players should have all outstanding fees (including fundraising) taken care of prior to reporting. Any outstanding balances need to be finalized by 4:30pm in order to remain on the roster. Apartments will only be available for those with full payment and signed leases. If you mail your lease, it MUST arrive by Thursday, May 27, otherwise you will not have a key available. You may bring your lease with you when you check in.
-->APARTMENT ASSIGNMENTS: All apartments have been assigned. Please see the apartment assignments link below. We would advise calling your roommates and comparing notes as to who will be bringing certain things (we don't need 4 people showing up with a living room TV! Apartments are fully furnished, you will need to provide linens, shower curtains, kitchen utensils, and cleaning products (such as vacuum cleaners). You will have washers and dryers in your apartment. Each apartment has 4 individual bedrooms with 2 bathrooms, a common kitchen and living room.

Directions to Southern Wesleyan Baseball Facility
From Atlanta:
Take I-85 into South Carolina. Take Exit 14 (Pendleton/Clemson Research Facility Exit). Take a Left at the top of the exit. You will be on Hwy 187. Take this road to the end (you will intersect with Hwy. 76. Take Hwy 76 to the end. Hwy. 76 will intersect with Hwy. 123 (you will see a CVS Pharmacy on the right at this intersection). Take a right onto Hwy. 123. Take the first exit off of Hwy 123 (Hwy 93 exit). At the top of the exit, turn left onto Hwy. 93. Continue on Hwy. 93 for approximately 5 miles. This road will go from 4 lanes to 2 lanes and take you through the town of Central. Once you leave Central, you'll pass an Exxon station on the right, approx. 1/4 mile ahead you will see the entrance sign to Southern Wesleyan University. Turn right. Continue straight to the next intersection. At the intersection turn left. You will be driving toward the entrance of the University. Just before you enter the main campus drive, you'll turn right onto Simms School Road. You will see the baseball facility on the right. There will be a drop off area at the road level just above the baseball facility box. Park there and take the stairs down to the President's box.
From Charlotte:

If you are flying into the Greenville-Spartanburg Airport (Greenville, SC), a member of the team staff will be available to pick you up on Thursday, May 27th between 6:30pm and 8:30pm only. Team staff will be limited on Friday, May 28th; therefore, you will need to make other arrangements for airport pickup. If you are flying into Atlanta or Charlotte, you will be responsible for making your own arrangements.

3:30pm - 5:00pm Player Reporting (SWU Baseball Stadium)
Players report to SWU Baseball Stadium between 3:00pm and 4:30pm (President's Suite) to pick up apartment keys and clear any outstanding financial obligations. (Note: apartment keys will not be issued to players that do not have their lease paid in full and all financial obligations to the team paid in full)

What should I bring for the Summer?
Baseball Pants (all players will be required to bring a white and a gray pair of game pants - No piping, only solid gray and solid white)
Equipment (catchers should bring their own catching equipment)
Glove(s) (If you have the potential of catching or playing 1B- be sure to bring the appropriate glove(s)
Bats (the team will provide bats; however, you may also use your own. Any bat brought in by a player MUST be approved by the General Manager prior to use)
Sleeves Although the weather is warm most of the time, we do play some night games in Asheville and Johnson City, TN where the temperature gets cold. You should bring sleeves just in case, especially pitchers!
Apartment Supplies:
The apartments are "fully furnished". However, you will need to bring your TV and computer if you desire. (Cable TV and Internet services are available at an additional charge)
